Tata Steel Chess 2025: Gukesh and Caruana Draw in Round 3, Praggnanandhaa Takes the Lead

The Tata Steel Chess tournament in Wijk aan Zee, Netherlands witnessed an intense battle between reigning world champion D Gukesh and world number two Fabiano Caruana in Round 3. The match ended in a draw after just 24 moves, with both players currently sitting at the third and fourth spots with 2 points each. Gukesh, who recently clinched the world championship title, showcased his strategic prowess against Caruana, opting for a cautious approach and avoiding any risky moves.

On the other hand, R Praggnanandhaa, another rising star from India, moved to the top spot in the tournament standings after defeating his compatriot Arjun Erigaisi in an all-Indian battle.
