Exciting Updates for Titled Tuesday Grand Prix in 2025!

The chess world is buzzing with excitement as the beloved Titled Tuesdays evolve into the Titled Tuesday Grand Prix for 2025! This year-long leaderboard competition will be the only path for players to qualify for the prestigious Speed Chess Championships, adding even more stakes and excitement to the weekly blitz event.

With five categories to compete in – Open, Women, Youth, Girls, and Seniors – players will have the opportunity to earn a share of the $15,000 prize fund and a chance to face off against the top players in the Speed Chess Championships. The top players in the Open and Women’s leaderboards will secure direct qualification to the main events, while the top five players in the other categories will also earn rewards.

Last year’s Speed Chess Championship saw thrilling battles between top players like Hikaru Nakamura and Magnus Carlsen, with Nakamura ultimately taking the top spot and a $10,000 prize. The Women’s leaderboard was equally intense, with Alexandra Kosteniuk narrowly edging out Aleksandra Goryachkina for first place.

As the 2025 Titled Tuesday Grand Prix kicks off, fans are eagerly anticipating which players will rise to the top and secure their spots in this year’s Speed Chess Championships. Who do you think will be the standout player to watch? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
