New Delhi – Indian Grandmaster Mitrabha Guha has made headlines by topping the regional qualifiers, securing his place in the Indian chess contingent for the highly anticipated Esports Nations Cup (ENC) set to take place in November. Guha’s achievement adds to the excitement as he joins fellow compatriot Nihal Sarin, who received a direct invitation through the Champions Chess Tour (CCT) Leaderboard.
The ENC promises to be a thrilling event, featuring 128 players from around the globe competing for a staggering prize pool of USD 600,000 (approximately Rs 5.7 crore). The tournament will kick off on November 2 and culminate in the playoff final on November 8, with the entire event running until November 29.
The competition will begin with a round-robin group stage, where all 128 players will be divided into 16 groups of eight. The top 64 players will then advance to a single-elimination playoff bracket, ensuring a high-stakes atmosphere throughout the tournament.
