Today in the world of Indian sports, we saw some thrilling action across various disciplines. In wrestling, Antim Panghal and Anshu Malik both secured silver medals at the Budapest Ranking Series. Antim put up a strong fight in the 53kg category but fell short in the final against Emma Jonna Denise Malmcgren of Sweden. Anshu, on the other hand, faced tough competition in the 57kg category and had to settle for second place after a hard-fought battle with Hong Kexin of China.

Over in Norway Chess, Magnus Carlsen emerged victorious once again, claiming his sixth title in the tournament. India’s R Praggnanandhaa put up a valiant effort but ultimately finished third in the standings. In the women’s section, Je Wenjun took home the title after a stellar performance throughout the tournament.

In other news, Lakshya Sen faced a tough loss in the Indonesia Open quarterfinals, while shooters Sift Kaur Samra and Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar put up commendable performances at the Munich World Cup.
