Residents are advised to prepare for rising temperatures and discomfort as the mercury is expected to hover around 35 degrees Celsius during the day and drop to 28 degrees Celsius in the evenings.
The weather is initially predicted to remain dry, but humidity levels will rise significantly throughout the week, leading to uncomfortable conditions. Mornings will feature partly cloudy skies, while the afternoons may bring a mix of sunshine and humidity.
Coastal Regions on High Alert
In addition to the yellow alert, the IMD has warned that parts of the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) and several coastal districts of Maharashtra will experience hot and humid weather.
