GM Daniel Naroditsky Dominates 49th Edition of Bullet Brawl, Secures $400 First Prize

GM Daniel Naroditsky emerged victorious in the 49th edition of Bullet Brawl, showcasing his dominance in the fast-paced chess event. Naroditsky scored an impressive 276 points out of 84 games, securing the $400 first prize. Following closely behind was the previous winner, GM Oleksandr Bortnyk, with 235 points, and Peru’s GM Jose Martinez claimed the third spot on the podium.

Chess trainer and IM Karina Ambartsumova claimed the $100 women’s prize, while Liam Clery narrowly edged out Cesar Frank Talledo Lagos in the community event. The next edition of Bullet Brawl is scheduled for April 27, 2024, at noon ET/18:00 CEST.

With the 2024 FIDE Candidates Tournament in full swing, 120 titled players participated in the intense competition, including top GMs like Tuan Minh Le, David Paravyan, Alan Pichot, and talented juniors like Tanitoluwa Adewumi and Faustino Oro, who recently defeated Magnus Carlsen in Bullet Brawl.

Naroditsky’s exceptional performance included a remarkable 24-game winning streak and a crucial 4/4 score against Bortnyk. Despite the losses, Bortnyk entertained viewers by streaming the event on Twitch and announcing his checkmates with flair.
