Google’s GenChess: AI-Generated Chess Pieces for Unique Matches

Google has launched a new online game called GenChess that allows users to generate unique chess pieces using AI technology. The game, part of Google Labs, lets players input a text prompt to create a set of chess pieces based on their desired theme.

Once the pieces are customized, Google Gemini, the AI behind GenChess, automatically generates a counter-theme for players to compete against. For example, if a player creates a set based on cats, the AI will create a dog-themed opponent.

While GenChess may not replace traditional chess-learning apps due to its limited difficulty levels and lack of features like move undo and match history, it offers a fun and creative twist on the classic game. Players can experience unique matchups like Transformers versus Decepticons by visiting the GenChess website.
