Air India and Air India Express Announce Updated International Flight Schedule for March 27, Operating 22 Services to West Asia
Air India and Air India Express Unveil Expanded Flight Schedule Amid Rising Demand
New Delhi, March 27 — In a significant move to cater to the growing travel demand, Air India and Air India Express have announced an updated international flight schedule for today, confirming the operation of 22 scheduled and non-scheduled services connecting India with key destinations in the West Asia region.
In an official press release, the airlines detailed their planned operations, highlighting a robust response to evolving regional conditions. Air India will operate four scheduled flights to and from Jeddah, with two services each from Delhi and Mumbai. Additionally, the airline will run two scheduled flights between Mumbai and Riyadh.
Complementing these efforts, Air India Express will provide four flights each to and from Muscat and Riyadh. The Muscat services will include flights from both Delhi and Mumbai, while the Riyadh operations will originate from Bengaluru and Kozhikode.
In response to heightened travel demand, both carriers will also operate eight non-scheduled services to and from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), contingent on slot availability and conditions at departure airports. These ad-hoc flights aim to offer additional capacity and flexibility for travelers during this busy period.
The press release further outlined a comprehensive summary of scheduled, non-scheduled, and temporarily suspended operations for March 27, covering multiple West Asian countries. While scheduled services will continue between India and destinations like Jeddah, Riyadh, and Muscat, certain UAE airports, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi, will only see non-scheduled flights.
Air India clarified that all other flights connecting to North America, Europe, Australia, and other global regions will operate as scheduled.
To assist affected passengers, Air India has provided guidance on rebooking and cancellations. “Guests booked to travel on any of the routes where Air India group’s scheduled services remain temporarily suspended may conveniently rebook to a future date at no additional charge or opt for a full refund,” the airline stated. Travelers can manage these changes through the airline’s website or its 24/7 customer support helpline.
Similarly, Air India Express customers holding bookings from UAE stations are entitled to flexible rebooking options through available commercial flights back to India.
The carrier emphasized its commitment to maintaining connectivity and meeting passenger needs, stating it is actively exploring opportunities to operate additional ad-hoc flights in the West Asia region where feasible.
As travel resumes and demand surges, Air India and Air India Express are poised to play a crucial role in facilitating seamless connectivity for travelers in and out of India.
