“The Outlast Trials’ Project Lupara Update: New Villain, Map, and Missions”
The Outlast Trials is set to receive its first major post-launch update with Project Lupara, bringing a host of new content and features to the game. Scheduled for release on July 16, this free update will introduce a new roguelite mode, a new map, missions, abilities, cosmetics, and a new villain named Franco “Il Bambino” Barbi.
Barbi, the son of a New Orleans mob boss, comes armed with a shotgun, adding a unique threat to the game. The update will also include a new Docks map, a solo mission that escalates in difficulty, a new cooldown ability called The Barricade, and a new roguelite game mode called Escalation Therapy.
In addition to the new content, the update will also bring daily and weekly challenges, as well as new Catalogs for cosmetic rewards. Players will have the option to choose from four difficulty settings, and matchmaking will group players based on their chosen difficulty level.
The update will also introduce a new DLC pack called the Exotica Pack, adding new skins, profile icons, and personal items for players’ private cells. A free comic book detailing the backstory of the latest villain will also be available on the studio’s website.
To celebrate the launch of Project Lupara, The Outlast Trials will host a limited-time cosmetic event featuring Il Bambino. Players can expect to encounter the new villain in various Trials during the event, alongside other iconic characters from the game.
The Outlast Trials Project Lupara update is set to arrive on July 16 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. With a wealth of new content and features, players can look forward to diving back into the terrifying world of The Outlast Trials.
